Custom Lite Details
The Custom Lite tier provides a budget-friendly, made-to-measure custom costume designed for comfort, fit, and professional quality. With its streamlined design approach and use of in-studio materials, this tier is ideal for athletes and performers who need a polished, custom costume or custom figure skating dress without premium pricing.
Style
Choose from proven basic design elements for efficiency and affordability:
Neckline, bodice style, and a single layered skirt selected from basic styles (Sleeves are available as an Add-On)
Basic unlined bodysuit constructed to your athlete’s measurements
Fit
Made-to-measure sizing: Girls’ XS–XL, Women’s XS–XL
Measurements are taken during consultation
One in-person fitting included; additional fittings are available for a fee
Fabric & Colour
Fabrics selected from in-studio inventory for cost efficiency without compromising quality
Bodysuit: 4-way stretch nylon spandex or stretch velvet for flexibility and durability
Skirt: Stretch mesh, spandex, or chiffon
Bodice/Yoke: Matching stretch mesh or nude mesh, intended to create a polished, professional appearance
Colour: Choose from available solid colours in studio
Design Sketches
One sketch provided for visualization and approval prior to construction
Construction
Bodysuit: Unlined, sleeveless, one or two-piece constructed to selected basic style
Skirt: Choose style (A-Line, Circle), fullness (½, ¾, or full circle), one basic single layer
Closures: Pull-on, zipper, hook-and-eye, or clasp as per selected style
Pricing & Turnaround
Flat rate for base costume
Typical turnaround 5 – 6 weeks from approved design
Rush timelines available for an additional fee
Costume Making Process
Consultation & Measurement: Review program needs, select fabric and colour from in-studio inventory, and discuss embellishments & add-ons. Measurements are taken at this stage.
Statement of Work: Confirms design choices, timeline, and payment plan in writing so you know exactly what to expect. Full payment or payment plan is collected at this stage.
Design & Approval: Collaborate to create a simple, effective custom design. One sketch is included for approval.
Patterning & Construction: Design is turned into a custom pattern, and the costume is sewn to your athlete’s measurements.
Fitting & Embellishments: One in-person fitting is included to check comfort and mobility. Adjustments are agreed upon, and embellishments (if any) are added.
Completion: Pick up in-studio or request delivery for an additional fee. Minor adjustments are free within one week if needed.
